, when choosing an inverter, take into account the peak consumptions that most appliances have, which can many times exceed its nominal consumption from the nameplate. These are mainly electric motors and devices powered by switching sources. Examples from practice: A motor with a nominal power of 300W will only start up an inverter with a nominal power of 1000w. Even a 600W model with a soft-start function is not enough. A notebook, LCD television and satellite receiver together with a consumption of approx. 150W cannot start at 300w inverter, because the capacitors in the switching sources are charged after switching on, it was necessary to connect them one after the other.
